Mrs. Stella B. Robinson of New Minden, departed this life at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at 4:25 a.m. She had attained the age of 41 years, 8 months and 28 days.

Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, Ill., on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Alan Nolman and Pastor Robbie Chitwood officiating and interment in the Carlyle Public Cemetery in Carlyle. Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to the Washington County Relay for Life and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.

Margaret Virginia Beck, 90, of Zeigler passed away at 8:55 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 in the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.

Michael Lee Wyant, 53, of Benton passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 in his home at 11:20 a.m. surrounded by his loving family.

Evelyn P. Beasley, 102, of Benton and a former Sesser resident, died Thursday morning, Jan. 28, 2010, at the Helia HealthCare Center in Benton.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Bryant Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.

James Allen Creek, 48, of Royalton passed away suddenly, at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at the Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Creek will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton with Mr. Fred Russell officiating. Burial will be at Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Fern E. Higdon, 87, of Benton died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, Mt. Vernon.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Antioch Cemetery, Macedonia. There will be no public visitation.  Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Monroe Swinney, 88, of Benton died Wednesday morning, Jan. 27, 2010, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, with Pastor Kurt Sanders officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home at noon.

Amos Clay Ing, 77, of Thompsonville passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, in the ICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Amos was a cancer survivor for almost 10 years. He was a great warrior.

We will celebrate the life of Amos with a funeral service on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Robinson officiating at the First Baptist Church in Thompsonville where Amos was a longtime member. He was saved as a young teenage boy. Burial will be in the Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort with Military Rites by the Thompsonville American Legion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contribution may be made to First Baptist Church of Thompsonville for special projects and will be accepted at the funeral and church.
