Edith Rose Johnson, 92, died on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at the Providence Park Skilled Care Center in Tyler, Texas, after a short illness.

Graveside services and burial will be at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4.  A memorial service will be held Tyler, Texas, at a later date.

Mary E. Ginter, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., formerly of Elkhart, died at 7:20 p.m. Aug. 28, 2010, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, surrounded in prayer by her three children.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cullom, officiated by the Rev. Thomas Shaw, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Cullom. Martin-Burke Funeral Home is conducting services.

Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrafer Funeral Home of Lincoln, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A true gentle man, Andy B. Wilkerson, passed from his earthly body into the Glory of Heaven on Aug. 28, 2010.

Visitation was at Thompson Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ Wednesday, Sept. 1, with a Rosary. Services were at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, at Thompson Chapel. Burial services to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ.

Carolyn Sue Barnett, 70, of Benton died at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, Mt. Vernon.

Franklin M. "Frank" Milby Jr. was a man who knew how to make you laugh, or to build you up with a kind word if you needed one.

On Aug. 26, 2010, Frank went home to meet his Savior, where he knew he would be joined by his mother and father and friends who had gone before him. Although bodily he has left, his family knows his values, his loyalty, his humor and his zeal for life will remain.

Services will beat the Gilbert Funeral Home on Sunday Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. with Brother Denny Bush officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Ivan Willard Thomas, 95, died peacefully at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at his home in Liberty Estates, Carbondale.

Services will be held at the First Christian Church of Sesser on Monday, Aug. 30, conducted by the Rev. Kirk Packer.  Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. with the service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.

Dorothy Mae Silkwood, 89, of Sesser died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at home.

Kailynn Lee Fitzpatrick, 4 weeks, died at 12 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery, Benton, officiated by the Rev. Bob Fitzpatrick. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort.

Eileen Fogleman of Toledo died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Cumberland County on Aug. 11.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the Toledo United Methodist Church, 213 E. Madison St. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. David William Arnett, 56, of Zeigler passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Arnett were to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the Christian Life Center, 1901 N. Park Avenue in Herrin with Pastors Steven McKeown, Brent Fitzgerald and Fred Starkweather officiating. Burial will be at the Zeigler Cemetery. Visiting hours were from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday until the time of the services at the church.

Esther Lorene Denham, 86, of Benton went home to be with the Lord at 12:36 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, from the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

M. Gail Wilkerson, 74, of House Springs, Mo., and a former Benton resident, died at 6:18 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, in St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, in the Leffler-Poulson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Karl Barnfield officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery near Whittington. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Martha A. Burlison, 93, of Benton died at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at the Helia HealthCare in Benton.
