A new store is hoping to completely flip Sesser.

Owners and city officials gathered recently to cut a ribbon for Flipped by M Boutique, which sells a wide range of women's boutique clothing of many different styles, cuts and colors. The owners is Megan Witges and Jacob Witges.

Megan originally came up with the idea of starting a boutique when she was pregnant with her now 1-year-old son.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

"Our expectations for not only the first year, but our life time goal is to make our customers happy," Megan said. "We LOVE local shops. It is so very important to support local businesses because of the hard work and dedication they put into their businesses, and bringing the community together. The town of Sesser has been nothing but amazing with our boutique! We literally could not ask for a better town, mayor and the chamber!

"We choose to place our boutique in the Sesser location because Jacob and I both went to school at Sesser Valier and graduated. We want nothing more for people to start opening up businesses back in Sesser because this is our kids future! Not to mention the next generations to come. If we don't work hard and have full dedication to what we love in our community to bring us closer, what example are we setting for the younger generations?"
