HMC Foundation gala raises more than $38,000

HARRISBURG -- On Oct. 13, the Harrisburg Medical Center Foundation hosted the first of what it intends to be an annual event -- the R. Kay Talley Gala at St. Stephen's on The Hill in Eldorado.

Mr. R. Kay Talley was the founder of the Harrisburg Medical Center Foundation and was an invaluable asset to all who knew him. He made it his mission to help Harrisburg Medical Center reach higher levels of excellence in medical care, outreach and education.

To honor him, the HMC Foundation board of directors hosted this gala in his memory and would like to thank everyone who helped make the event so successful. It is through the help of our sponsors, donations for both live and silent auctions, ticket sales, and all those who volunteered their services, venue and time that we were able to raise more than $38,000 that will be used toward providing the best health care services to the patients we serve.

The event was very special to the HMC Foundation as it was in honor of a very special man, R. Kay Talley. Mr. Talley dedicated so much of his time to this Foundation and we will forever be grateful for him.
