MARION -- Williamson County State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti would like to announce that the Annual Chuck Garnati Memorial Golf Day has been scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Crab Orchard Golf Club.

The Chuck Garnati Memorial Golf Day raises funds for the Franklin-Williamson Child Advocacy Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Williamson County. Both organizations rely on fundraisers, such as Garnati Golf Day, to continue operations. The work they do for children in need often goes unrecognized. They provide a voice for neglected and abused children in our area, who otherwise would have no one.

Garnati Memorial Golf Day will take place at Crab Orchard Golf Club in Carterville again this year. There will be two flights of four-person teams with an option of an 8 a.m. or a 1:30 p.m. tee time. If you are interested in participating, spots are available for both the morning and afternoon sessions. A team of four requires a donation of $400. If golf is not your game, we also have sponsorships available ranging between $100 and $1,000.

Lunch will also be open to the public and will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be raffle items available, as well as 50-50 opportunities.

Garnati Golf Day, in its 28th year, was started by the late Charles "Chuck" Garnati and his father, Sam. Their dedication and drive to grow the event has been carried on by current State's Attorney Brandon Zanotti,

"It is important that we continue to support programs and organizations that support kids," Zanotti said. "Now more than ever in our county and our country, organizations like these are imperative to helping children who are the victim of bad circumstances. It is my

honor to continue the work Chuck and Sam have accomplished. Please consider joining us on June 21st."
