Eagles drop a pair of matches on the road

Eldorado dropped a pair of games late last week, falling to NCOE 25-8 and 13-25 on Wednesday and dropped a Black Diamond Conference matchup at Carmi-White County 25-15 and 25-9 Thursday.
In the loss at NCOE, head coach Lisa Craig said she was happy with the girls' hustle and teamwork.
"We tried a new offense and our girls did a great job running it," Craig said.
Statistically for the Eagles: Karis Lane (6-8 spikes with 2 kills, 4-5 serves, 8 digs), Kylee Ogelsby (15 sets, 2-3 serves), Lexie Mitchell (4-4 serves, 12 digs), Emma Wargel (10-10 spikes, 3 kills, 5-5 serves, 5 digs, 1 block), Piper Debose (1-2 spikes, 1 kill), Lacey Hobbs (3-3 spikes with 1 kill, 2-3 serves, 5 digs), Tori Phelps. (12 sets, 2 digs), Katelyn Mayberry (2-2 spikes with 1 kill 4 digs), Whitney Payne (4 sets, 2-3 spikes, 4 digs) and Emily Cunningham (1-1 spikes).
In the loss at Carmi-White County, Craig said her squad played well the first game.
"Our new offense gets better each night, Craig said. "Emma Wargel had a very good night  and Lacey Hobbs had a good night at the serving line."
Statistically for the Eagles: Karis Lane (7-8, 1 kill 4 blocks with 1 kill, 5-7 serves 2 aces), Kylee Oglesby (19 sets), Lexie Mitchell (11 digs), Emma Wargel (16-17 spikes 2 kills, 4 blocks, 3-3 serves. 16 digs), Tori Phelps (15 sets, 6 digs), Lacey Hobbs (10-10 spikes, 1 kill 7-7 serves 1 ace), Whitney Payne (5-6 spikes 1 kill), Kaitlyn Mayberry (1 kill, 6 digs) and Piper Debose (1 spike).
Eldorado was slated to play at Zeigler-Royalton Monday, followed by a match at Edwards County Monday. The Eagles host Fairfield on Thursday to close out the week.
