Logan men will open up District Tournament as No. 1 seed

The John A. Logan men's and women's basketball teams will begin tournament play next week at Rend Lake College.
The top seeded Logan men will play Monday at 1 p.m., going against the winner of a play-in game between Shawnee and Kaskaskia. Those two teams will meet in Ullin on Saturday.
Logan is 25-5 and ranked 11th nationally. The Volunteers beat both Shawnee and Kaskaskia twice during the regular season.
The Logan women will open on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., against third seeded Rend Lake. The Lady Warriors defeated Logan twice during the regular season.
