The Harrisburg softball team stayed perfect on the season and improved to 9-0 with two weekend wins Saturday as the Bulldogs beat Crittenden County, Ky., 15-2 and Galatia 13-0 in five innings.
In the win over Crittenden County, Kerrigan Payne took the win as she improved to 7-0, as the freshman southpaw allowed two runs on four hits, while striking out one and walking four.
At the plate, Karsyn Davis blasted her sixth home run of the season, going 2-for-3 with thee RBI. Mya King went 3-for-3 with an RBI and now has eight runs batted in in the last three games.
Madeline Rider, Essence Sanders and Payne all had two hits. Sanders finished with four RBI and had a solo home run in the second inning, while Rider and Payne each drove in one run.
In the Game 2 win, Lydia Miller got her first win in the circle since her freshman year as she went five innings and tossed a one-hitter, while striking out two and walking two.
Rider and Sanders both had three hits days, while Rider had a team-high three RBI. Sanders drove in two runs. Hannah Reid, Davis and Payne were all 2-for-3. Mya King, Lexi Williams, Haley Sullivan, McKenzie Marshall and Miller all had one hit.

FRIDAY
Harrisburg 14, Eldorado 0
Harrisburg broke open a one-run game with a five-run fourth inning to beat Eldorado 14-0 in six innings Friday at the EHS Sports Complex.
Payne got the win in the circle for the Bulldogs as the freshman surrendered eight hits, while striking out six.
Emma Wargel got the start for Eldorado and allowed nine runs (seven earned) on 10 hits, while striking out four. Ali Joyner pitched the sixth and gave up five runs on two hits with two K's and two walks.
At the plate, Payne was 3-for-4 for the Bulldogs, while Essence Sanders, Maddi Ladd and Mya King all had two hits.
King finished with a team-high seven RBI, including an in-the-park home run in the sixth inning.
Rider, Marshall and Williams all had one hit.
Paige Munds was 3-for-3 for Eldorado, while Green was 2-for-3. Lexie Mitchell, Joyner and Haenel each had one hit.

THURSDAY
Harrisburg 13, Pope Co. 2
Davis hit her fifth straight home run in as many games, helping Harrisburg stay unbeaten in a 13-2 win over Pope County in six innings Thursday.
Payne picked up the win in the circle, allowing two earned runs on six hits, while striking out seven.
At the plate, Davis was 1-for-4 and finished with three RBI, including a three-run home run in the second inning.
Rider went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Sanders and King both had a hit. Sanders tacked on three RBI on the day.
Gallatin County 11, Galatia 3
Gallatin County outhit Galatia 16-10 and picked up a 11-3 win at Galatia High School Thursday.
Kailey Oldham was one of four players to have three hits on the day as Oldham was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Audrey Jackson was also 3-for-4, driving in two runs, while Hailey Gwaltney was 3-for-4 with two runs and Jayde Pennington was 3-for-4.
Kenzie Russell went the distance, allowing three runs on 10 hits, while striking out five and walking two.
Benton 13, Eldorado 7
Eldorado held a 6-4 lead after four innings, but Benton rallied, scoring three in the top of the fifth and six more in the top of the seventh to win 13-7 Thursday at the EHS Sports Complex.
Joyner was 3-for-4 at the plate for Eldorado, while Green and Easley both went 2-for-4. Munds went 1-for-4 with two RBI, while Mitchell was 1-for-5 with an RBI.
