BENTON -- The Pinckneyville Panthers are once again streaking through the Benton Invitational Tournament.
Pinckneyville rolled to a 55-24 win over Hamilton County on Wednesday night to improve to 2-0 after two sessions of the event.
The Panthers are now 18-2 overall.
Pinckneyville jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and was ahead 27-11 at halftime. The margin was 42-19 after three periods.
Dre Scott led Pinckneyville with 14 points and Dawson Yates also reached double figures with 11.
Ben Restoff was right behind with nine points and Grant Tanner had eight.
Also scoring were Hunter Riggins (6), Dylan Houghland (5) and Noah Carter (2).
Pinckneyville goes back to Benton on Friday night to face Sesser-Valier, then faces Carlyle and Benton in the sessions on Saturday.
