WEST FRANKFORT -- The Marion Junior High School boys basketball team opened the 2018 portion of the season with a 62-20 win over West Frankfort's Central Junior High on Tuesday night.
MJHS is now 15-1.
Marion led 25-6, 46-8 and 53-12 at the quarter breaks.
Rayzhaun Bardo led the Wildcats with 10 points. Tyler Cima and Devyn Wright both had nine and Venson Newsom had eight.
Also scoring for Marion were Chase Austin (5), Bryson Wilson (4), Tariq Sanders (4), Trevor Jackson (3), Chase Altug (2), Deavon Margrum (2), DeMareon Cooper (2) and Quincy Kincaid (2).
Marion also won the seventh-grade game, 38-20, improving that squad's record to 14-2.
MJHS hosts rival Herrin on Thursday.
