MARION -- Ava Wong's single tied it and Karris Rhine's home run won it as the Marion Junior High School softball team overcame seven errors to beat Carterville, 10-8, Thursday in Big Seven Conference play.

The Lady Wildcats are now 16-0.

Amelia Browning had a two-run double, Baylee Kelley had three hits and scored three runs and Jerzy Bittle had three hits and an RBI for Marion, which trailed 8-6 going into the bottom of the seventh.

Kelley singled to start the winning rally, which included a key sacrifice bunt by Makenzie Nicholson before Wong's tying hit. Rhine then popped a 1-0 pitch over the fence to give Marion the walkoff win.

Marion plays Monday at Harrisburg.
