Q. Should school be open year 'round with summer vacation spread out over an entire calendar year, or should kids continue to have the summer off?

I think it would benefit the children and the parents to have school quarterly. Having kids and still working during the summer makes it hard to find baby-sitters. Also, keeping them in a repetitive lifestyle will help prepare them more.

Q. What is your favorite summertime activity?

Spending time outside with my daughters going fishing and taking the four wheelers out.

Q. What is your take on ABC's decision to cancel "Roseanne" for perceived racist remarks the actress made?

I believe racist or not, whenever you start to take away a person's right to speak, you start taking away their freedom. This country is found on freedom. I don't think they should take her livelihood away because of how she feels. It shouldn't be OK for one person and not OK with the other.

Q. What is your favorite summer vacation memory?

Last year I went to Panama City, it was such a great time. It was seven days of nothing but sitting on a beach, drinking beer.

Q. Did you watch Han Solo, the latest Star Wars flick, and if you did, what did you like or dislike about it?

No, I haven't watched any of the new ones.
