Joyce L. Wright, age 91, resident of Carrier Mills, IL passed away at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on June 29, 1928 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to the late Alva McGraw and Alpha Burdick McGraw.
Joyce married Junior Earl Wright on Oct. 10, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1997.
She attended the Equality Christian Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Jerry) Dame of Sesser; sons, Gary (Virginia) Wright of Carrier Mills and David (Cindy) Wright of Carrier Mills; grandchildren, Charles Wright Jr., Doug Wright, Brandi Dial, Jerod Dame, Jason Dame, Todd Wright, John Wright, Nathan Wright, Nick Wright, and Jacob Wright; numerous great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Wright of Stonefort; and a close friend, Jessie Westfall.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Charles Wright; great-granddaughter, Addison Wright; and brothers, Roy McGraw and Nolen McGraw.
Private graveside services will precede burial at the Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.
