Brenda Kay Migonis, 70, of Rochester, Indiana and formerly of Hallidayboro, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Brenda was a homemaker and retired restaurant server, where she had many fond memories, worked hard, learned many skills and met many people. She enjoyed most talking and visiting with her family, receiving photographs and cards, spending quality time with loved ones, discovering treasures at garage sales, and reading.

Brenda was born Sept. 24, 1948 in Hallidayboro, the daughter of Milford A. and Martha K. (Biggs) Morgan. She attended Elkville High School and then moved to Chicago to pursue and discover her passion of living in a big city, meeting lots of people, and starting her adult life in a new place.

Brenda met Harry Migonis in 1971. They married in 1982 and remained so for 15 years. But they remained supportive and constant in each other's lives for 48 years until her departure.

She loved her four children, Patricia (William) Tuttle of Tennessee, Jeremy (Tamra) Migonis of Illinois, Joshua (Blair) Migonis of Indiana, and Rebecca (Matthew) Coulson of Illinois; her 14 grandchildren, Ashley Bardwick, Megan Hurt, Mariska Migonis, Odessa Migonis, Vivienne Migonis, Mila Migonis, Lindsey Solomon, Olivia Wetzel, Benjamin Tanner, Titus Tanner, Jessica Eakins, Kristopher Eakins, Alicia Pratt and Niko Migonis; her 7 great-grandchildren, Lily Griffith, Bentley Griffith, Kendall Maloy, Tucker Hurt, August Wetzel, Holly Solomon and Juliana Solomon; her eight brothers and sisters, Betty Leek, Mary Hathaway, Joyce Ellis, Charles Morgan, Richard Morgan, Rose Keller, David Morgan and Martha (Sue) Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives whom she cherished with all of her heart.

Two brothers and three sisters, plus her parents, preceded her in death.

Brenda Migonis was bold, honest, loyal, easy to talk to, caring, passionate, wise and heartfelt. Her favorite color was purple, she loved fresh flowers, and adored beautiful butterflies, a symbol of renewal, freedom and hope. She was unique and will be extremely missed.
