James Robert "Jim" Wilson, age 80, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 in Harrisburg Medical Center.
James was born June 6, 1938 in Harrisburg to the late Wallace Eugene and Mary Alice (Lane) Wilson. On Dec. 14, 1959, Jim married Wilma Patterson and she survives.
Jim was a carpenter and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
In addition to his wife, Wilma, Jim is survived by his son, Curt (Janis) Wilson of Harrisburg; daughter Alyson (Mike) Phipps of Harrisburg; son Brian Wilson (friend Clinton Bosler) of Evansville, Indiana; two brothers, Harold (Julie) Wilson and Dennis (Allison) Wilson, both of Harrisburg; stepbrother Tim (Valerie) Mitchell of Harrisburg; stepsister-in-law Becky Mitchell; two grandchildren, Ben Wilson and Brittany (Kyle) Hodson; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Landon and Lillian Hodson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mary Alice Wilson; one brother, Jerald Wilson in infancy; and a stepbrother, Tom Mitchell.
It was Jim's wish to be cremated. A time of visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Burial of his cremated remains will follow at a later date.
The family would prefer that flowers be omitted.
