HARRISBURG -- Wilda May Massey, 86, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
She was born July 29, 1931, in Dexter, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Benjamin and Virdie Elsie (Humphries) Watkins.
She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Wasson.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas Massey of Harrisburg, Joe and Donna Massey of Gleason, Tennessee, Keith and Debbie Massey of Trezevant, Tennessee, James Massey of Eldorado and Larry and Maria Massey, also of Eldorado; four daughters, Betty and Wesley Bates of Puryear, Tennessee, Linda Massey and Brenda Russell, both of Harrisburg, and Wilma and Ewell Bates of Ripley, Tennessee; four sisters, Mary Elsie Santos of Pompano Beach, Florida, Mary Brackin of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Carrie Meeks of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Elizabeth Woods of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Leroy, Ray and Stanley Watkins.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, in Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Nathan Prather officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Grove Cemetery in rural Eldorado. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
