John C. Wasson, 83, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away March 10, 2017.
John was a 1952 graduate of Harrisburg High School and spent most of his adult life in the insurance industry in the Tampa area.
Survivors include his sisters, Ruth McGill and Jane Hancock; brothers, George Wasson, Jerry Wasson and Dale Wasson; godson, Chris Cummins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Therman and Vera Wasson; brothers, Therman Jr. and Norman Wasson; and sisters, Kathryn McGee, Judy Brown and Sue Wasson.
John's lifelong love was cultivating and raising his flowers.
A graveside memorial celebration will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg.
