RALEIGH -- Harvey Eugene Miller, 65, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 21, 1951, in Eldorado to the late Jess and Loise (Everhart) Miller.

Harvey owned and operated several carnival games and followed state fair carnivals. He loved children, all children.

He was a member of Raleigh First Baptist Church.

Harvey had a passion for fishing and playing cards with friends.

Survivors include his best friend and life partner, Vickie Leffler of Raleigh; two sons, Travis (Sherri) Miller of Tennessee and Eddie (Michelle) Leffler of Kentucky; siblings, Jesse (Darlene) Miller of Michigan, Irene "Sis" (Tom) Towle of Mattoon, Neva McKibben of Mattoon, John (Linda) Miller of Danvers, Glen (Raynell) Miller of Raleigh, Joe (Patty) Miller of Harrisburg, Dorothy (Bob) Sadler of Ridgway, Pansey (Jewell) Mizell of Michigan, Mavis Smirnes of Mattoon and Todd (Karen) Miller of Champaign; two grandchildren, Kaytlynn and Jordan; and sister-in-law, Donna Miller of California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles "Shorty" Miller and Merlin Miller; sister, Jesse Dale Gerboc; and grandson, Brandon Leffler.

The family would like to recognize and offer a special thanks to Hospice of Southern Illinois nurses, Tammy and Amy; longtime special friend, Jeanie Newnum; and Harvey's nephew, Johnny Miller.

As per Harvey's wishes, he will be cremated. Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, in Raleigh First Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Dale Orr officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of arrangements.
