Chamber holding Thirsty Thursday

The Chester Chamber of Commerce will hold a Thirsty Thursday networking event at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Benson's Wine Bar, 1308 Swanwick St.

This casual event is intended to bring local businessmen and women together for a fun evening of networking. Sponsored by Red Dot Construction.

Three injured in Route 153 crash

Two adults and a child were injured in a crash in the late evening of Tuesday, June 21, on State Route 153, a half-mile north of Schubach Road.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff's report, Dominic Trumann, 18, of Sparta was driving a Chevrolet four-door southbound on State Route 153, when he says he fell asleep and entered the northbound lane, striking a GMC Terrain driven by Jessica Mason, 32, of Coulterville.

Both drivers and a 9-year-old passenger of the Terrain were transported to hospitals.

Man injured in Baldwin Road crash

The driver of a 2007 Chrysler Sebring was transported to Mercy South Hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Baldwin Road on the evening of Tuesday, June 21.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff's report, Gabriel M. Villanueva, 70, of Chester was traveling southbound on Baldwin Road at First Road when he failed to navigate a curve, left the roadway and overturned.
