CARRIER MILLS -- Electronics recycling and disposal returns to the Carrier Mills Municipal Building parking lot Saturday at 101 N. Mill St.

The event is 9 a.m. to noon or to when the vendor's truck is full.

Those participating are asked to follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask at the drop-off location.

For some time, electronics have been barred from disposal at landfills. Basically, anything with an electric cord is required to be recycled. On Saturday, a recycler will collect nonworking or unwanted electronics. There are small fees for the disposal service.

TVs, computer monitors and flat screens cost $10. Vacuums, microwaves, printers and copiers cost $1 to be recycled.

Paint and tires are not accepted.

The event is not limited to Carrier Mills residents. Anyone from the area may bring items for recycling.
