JC teacher/coach charged with criminal sexual assault

JOHNSTON CITY -- Illinois State Police announce the arrest of Trevor L. Clark, a longtime Johnston City School District teacher/coach, after joint investigation with Johnston City Police Department.

Clark is a 50-year-old male of Pittsburg. The Special Prosecutor of the state of Illinois charged Clark with five counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and four counts of Criminal Sexual Assault in Williamson County on Aug. 2. Clark posted $50,000 bail and was released.

Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse is a Class 2 felony carrying a possible sentence of 3-7 years in the Department of Corrections and 2 years Mandatory Supervised Release. Criminal Sexual Assault is a Class 1 felony carrying a possible sentence of 4-15 years in the Department of Corrections and two years Mandatory Supervised Release.
