Members of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Benton are busy organizing a huge variety of donated items for the 13th-annual Giant Flea Market.

The event has proved popular over the past decade with hundreds of people showing up in search of a good deal on a variety of items including furniture, appliances, tools, glassware, jewelry, purses, plants, toys and more.

The market is set for this Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers an "Early Bird Special" for $5 that includes early entry for shoppers beginning at 7 a.m.

The 200-family church also offers lunch, serving brats, hot dogs, hamburgers and desserts.

Along with the flea market, there will be a 50/50 drawing, quilt raffle, and a drawing for a gift certificate to Seasoning Bistro.
