Five Franklin County residents were arrested last week on methamphetamine-related charges.
On March 13, the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the West City Police Department, the Benton Police Department, the West Frankfort Police Department, the Christopher Police Department and the Zeigler Police Department conducted an arrest warrant detail in Franklin County.
Arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine were James S. Munyon, 26, of Benton; Dustin R. Eckles, 33, of Benton; David G. Taylor, 41, of West Frankfort; Michael D. Bowers, 47, of West Frankfort; and James M. Sneed, 26, of Christopher.
The investigation leading to these arrests was conducted by the SIDTF. The public is reminded that, under law, a defendant is presumed innocent of a charge until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt, to the satisfaction of a jury.
