The Chester Area Christian Food Pantry held its monthly Mobile Market July 25 at the Cohen Recreation Complex.

Approximately 80 cars drove through the distribution area with almost 100 family vouchers being filled.

In June, the food pantry served 235 households with 609 individuals. The pantry also provided food bags for schoolchildren throughout the entire summer months of June, July and August while they were on summer vacation and not receiving nutritional meals as part of the school meal programs.

Items needed for the pantry include canned meats, canned fruit, box dinners, drink boxes, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, and granola bars. Extra produce from gardens is also welcomed.

The August Mobile Market will take place Wednesday August 22 at 10 a.m. at the Cohen Recreation Complex parking lot on Route 3 North.
