The following information was obtained from the Southern Illinois University police. Note that arrests and charges are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

April 15
• Two students were referred to Student Rights and Responsibilities for drug law violations at Mae Smith Hall.

April 16
• Police arrested Zachary A. Castonguay, 19, of Carbondale, SIU student, at 2:21 p.m. at Brown Hall on charges of theft and credit card fraud. Castonguay was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
• A campus security authority reported an incident of dating violence that occurred April 6 at Baldwin Hall. The Office of Equity and Compliance is investigating.

April 17
• Police responded to a reported motor vehicle theft at lot 23. Police have no suspects.
• One student was referred to Student Rights and Responsibilties for a liquor law violation.

April 18
• Police arrested Derrick J. Chapman, 24, of Chicago, SIU student, at 9:08 p.m. at Neely Hall on a Jackson County warrant on an original charge of fighting. Chapman was unable to post bond and was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
• A campus security authority reported an incident of dating violence that occurred April 9 at Evergreen Terrace. The Office of Equity and Compliance is investigating.
• One student was referred to Student Rights and Responsibilties for a drug law violation.

April 19
• Police arrested Austin R. Schneck, 19, of Arkansas, SIU student, at 8:14 p.m. at lot 106 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Schneck was cited and released.
• A campus security authority reported a sexual assault that occurred sometime in September 2015 at Wall and Grand Apartments building 3. The Office of Equity and Compliance is investigating.

April 20
• Police arrested Brock A. Willenborg, 19, of Effingham, SIU student, at 3:04 a.m. on the west side of Faner Hall on a charge of underage consumption of alcohol. Willenborg was cited and released.
• Police arrested Benjamin A. Woonds, 19, of Lake Zurich, non-SIU student, at 5:15 p.m. at Neely Hall on charges of criminal trespass to state property and resisting an officer. Woods was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

April 21
• A bicycle was reported stolen from Wall and Grand Apartments building 1. Police have no suspects.

April 24
• Police arrested Josue I. Soto, 19, of Waukegan, SIU student, at 6:16 p.m. at the Recreation Center on a charge of battery. Soto was cited and released/ The victim, a 19-year-old SIU student, did not require medical attention.
• A Lyrix Jive wireless speaker was reported stolen from the University Bookstore. Police continue to investigate.

April 26
• A door was reported damaged at Faner Hall. Police have no suspects.

April 27
• Police arrested Courtland T. Clark, 20, of Carbondale, SIU student, at 10:47 p.m. on Lincoln Drive at lot 39 on a Jackson County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge. Clark posted $175 cash bond and was released.
• Police arrested Sarah L. Marshall, 18, of Rockford; and Levi S. Leszek, 19, of Carbondale, both SIU students, at 8:10 p.m. at Neely Hall on charges of underage consumption of alcohol. Both were cited and released.

April 30
• Police arrested Aaron J. Hill, 19, of LaGrange, SIU student, at 5:36 p.m. at Mae Smith Hall on charges of possession of less than 10 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hill was cited and released.

May 1
• A bicycle was reported stolen from the Wham Building north bike rack. Police have no suspects.
