Two people were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion on Monday after a one-car rollover crash just south of Marion on Interstate 57.

According to the Illinois State Police, a 2009 Honda Civic was northbound on I-57 when at 11:08 a.m. at milepost 52, the car drove off the roadway and into the median, where it rolled several times.

Authorities said statements made to the responding state trooper by the driver, William A. Chang, 64, of Little Rock, Arkansas, may indicate that fatigue was a factor behind the crash.

Both Chang and his passenger, 74-year-old Berlita Chang, also of Little Rock, were taken to Heartland Regional. Their conditions are unknown.

The state police said both Changs were wearing seat belts.

William Chang was cited with improper lane usage, police said.
