Planning a wedding can be a stressful event but one Southern Illinois event hopes to help connect those planning with those offering services.
The Ever After Bridal Show will be held at the Marion Pavilion on Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.
"We've done this for at least 20 years," said Lorena Marlow of River Radio, the host and organizer of the event held each year on the first Sunday in January. "It's a hugely successful event."
Marlow said the event showcases "all things bridal," including photographers, venues, event planners, bakers and caterers, florists, music, hair, and makeup.
"We even have vendors like dentists and cool-sculpting," she said.
This year's show includes over 50 vendors. Marlow said a fashion show begins at 3 p.m. followed by a cake-eating contest.
River Radio will be doing live broadcasts all day.
Marlow said guests can register online or just show up to the event. "There is no limit," she said, "the more the merrier."
