Randy Smithpeters, Harrisburg High School head boys basketball coach, and Richard Dwyer, assistant boys basketball coach, were guest speakers at Harrisburg Kiwanis Club on Dec. 13 at Ponderosa.

Smithpeters made a presentation about the boys and girls basketball teams, praising the persistence and athletic abilities of both teams.

He said the girls have been rated No. 1 in the state for the first time in the history of the sport in Harrisburg.

Additionally, Smithpeters updated the club on the progress of the new construction at the high school, and new rules that will be initiated upon completion.
