Employees settling into Campbell Building

  • With the ribbon cut, Regional Office of Education secretary Janis Thomas was settling in to work in her new surroundings in the Campbell Building in Benton last Thursday. 'I love it,' she said. 'It's like a new home. There is hot hot water, which we never had, no bugs, and clean, fresh air.' The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last week, about six months after River City Construction began approximately $550,000 in renovations to the building. The Annex Building has been vacated after it was determined to be environmentally unsafe for workers and the public. Only about 60 percent of the new building is being utilized at this point.
