Two Franklin County teenagers escaped serious injury Saturday night after they struck a deer on Rt. 154 in neighboring Perry County.
Perry County Sheriff Steve Bareis reports that deputies responded around 9:56 p.m. June 17 to Rt. 154 at Spruce Road west of Sesser. There, they learned a Chevrolet Malibu had been traveling eastbound on Rt. 154 when it struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle sustained damage to the front end and passenger side.
The driver, 19-year-old Naylin S. Ronchetto of Benton, was uninjured. Also uninjured was Ronchetto's passenger, 19-year-old Alexis N. Hacker of Valier.
