Melvin wins Sheriff Association scholarship

Frankfort Community High School senior Braxdyn Melvin is the 2017 Illinois Sheriff Association Scholarship recipient and is shown accepting his certificate from Sheriff Don Jones. Franklin County receives one scholarship yearly that is awarded to a deserving high school senior from one of the Franklin County high schools. This scholarship is awarded by a committee of retired educators and is based on being a high-quality student, a good citizen, the writing of an essay and financial need.
