Lions to honor BCHS students April 10

BENTON — Names of students who will be recognized during the Benton Consolidated High School honors program have been announced by officials of the Benton Lions Club, which sponsors the program.
BCHS alumnus Laura Jones, assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, will be the featured speaker at the event scheduled at 2 p.m. April 10 in the commons area of Benton Consolidated High School.
Students to be recognized, by class, are as follows:

Jones, a 1974 graduate of BCHS, graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law with honors, attending from 1977 through 1980.  She received her bachelor's degree summa cum laude in English and Political Science from Murray (Ky.) State University in 1976.
She is the daughter of the late Elmer L. Jones and the late Patricia J. Jones.
