Prep Softball: Eagles bang out 9 hits, fall to Goreville

Eldorado had nine hits, but made four errors in a 17-7 loss in five innings Tuesday on the road.
Brooklyn Biggerstaff led the Eagles at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a team-high two RBI and two runs scored.
Piper Debose had a multiple hit game for EHS, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Adrianna Hendrix, Kaylee Oglesby, Cassidy Wells and Alexa Haenel all had one hit as Hendrix, Oglesby, and Haenel had an RBI, while Hendrix, Oglesby, Wells and Haenel all scored one run.
Abby Compton went 2-for-4 for Goreville, including a home run and driving in a game-high seven runs, scoring two runs.
Oglesby worked 2.2 innings, getting the start in the circle for EHS, allowing 13 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, while striking out two and walking four. Hallie Kate Oldham pitched 1.2 innings in relief, allowing four runs on six hits, while walking two and striking out one.
Eldorado played Carmi-White County on Thursday and closed out the regular season Saturday in a double header at Galatia, against the host Bearcats and Carrier Mills-Stonefort.
