Prep Baseball: Eldorado holds off Blackcats

Dylan Vaughn doubled on a 2-0 count in the fifth inning, scoring Parker Price and added run in the seventh when the duo hooked up again in holding off Goreville 5-4 Tuesday.
Vaughn went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, while Canon Weatherly had two RBI for the Eagles.
Price went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, while Jake Phelps and Olen Oglesby all had one hit.
Anderson Woolcott and Phelps each scored one run for the Eagles in the victory.
Price picked up the win on the mound as the junior worked 6.2 innings, striking out nine. Price allowed three runs (all unearned) on two hits, while walking three. Woolcott threw six pitches of relief ball, allowing one run (unearned) on one hit.
The Eagles backed up Tuesday's win over Goreville with an 11-3 loss to Vienna.
Eldorado had four hits on the day as Price paced the Eagles with a 2-for-2 performance that included a double and two runs scored.
Dylan Vaughn had an RBI, going 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Trevor Milligan had the only other hit for EHS, finishing 1-for-3.
Milligan also got the start, going four innings in picking up the loss. The senior allowed eight runs (five earned) on five hits, while walking four and striking out three.
Ryne Cox, Olen Oglesby and Jake Phelps all pitched one inning of relief ball.
