The Harrisburg boys and girls' bowling teams fell to Anna-Jonesboro Tuesday at Ross Cottom Lanes as the Bulldogs boys lost 2760-2706 and the girls dropped a 2544-2260 contest to the Wildcats.
Noah Arnold bowled a 595 for Harrisburg, while sophomore Triton Kielhorn finished with aa 521.
Abbie Graham posted a 493 for the girls.
"Our girls were simply overmatched as A-J has arguably the best girls team in the southern area," HHS head coach Doug Cottom said. "Abbie continues to remain consistent with each match and Karol (Simmons) has really picked it up as well.
"On the boys' side, we actually played better than (Monday night), but the completion was much better. We dug ourselves a hole after game one and almost pulled all the way out of it, but A-J is a strong team and did what they had to do to pull out the win. Noah threw it good again and Triton stepped and played really well for the guys."
Harrisburg was slated to host Marion Wednesday and the boys regional will be held Saturday at SI Bowl.
