Jerzy Bittle and Gracie Connor each finished in double figures for Marion in a 66-22 non-conference win over Murphysboro Thursday night inside Cuss Wilson Gymnasium.
Bittle had 28 points, including 21 in the first half, while Conor had 16 points, 12 of which game in the first half as the Wildcats built a 46-15 first half lead.
Marion (4-6) put seven other players in the scoring column as Lily Garrett scored six points and Karis Rhine finished with five points. Kristen Kadela and Lydia Phelps each tacked on three points, while Payton Strobel and Alexis Ucci each tossed in two points. Krista Elliott threw in a free throw.
Marion will travel to Harrisburg on December 21 and will open up the Benton Christmas Classic against Goreville at 10:30 a.m. on December 27.
Eldorado 42, Flora 28
Lily Mosby and Adrianna Hendrix each scored 11 points a piece as Eldorado picked up a 42-28 Black Diamond Conference win over Flora Thursday night.
Karis Lane just missed out on double figures, netting nine points for the Eagles, while Alexa Haenel scored seven points. Kaylee Oglesby and Emily Sigler each tossed in two points.
Eldorado will open up the Fairfield Merry Mule Christmas Tournament on December 27 against Woodlawn at 11:45 a.m.
Benton 54, Carbondale 13
Benton renewed a once longtime South 7 rival with Carbondale, picking up a 54-13 victory, all while holding the Terriers to no points in the second half.
Ensley Tedeschi led all scorers with 28 points and Braelyn Miller finished with 14 points. Kylie Cockrum added eight points and Malia Webb finished with four points.
Benton went 11-for-13 from the free throw line as the Rangerettes jumped out to a 16-5 first quarter lead and grabbed a 32-13 halftime advantage.
