Reid Baumgarte was the lone Benton player to score in double figures in a 10-point 44-34 loss at Nashville Saturday.
Benton trailed 11-6 after the first quarter, but was able to pick up the pace in the second quarter, scoring 10 points as Landon Croslin knocked down a pair of 3-pointers as the Rangers went into the break trailing 16-24.
Benton was outscored 13-9 in the third quarter and went into the game's final eight minutes down 37-25.
Croslin had eight points for Benton, while Landon Bolen scored six points. Luke Melvin tacked on three points, while Isaac Billington and Nick Melvin each tossed in two points. Aiden Peach had a fourth quarter free throw for one point.
In Friday night's 49-33 win over SIRR Ohio rival West Frankfort, Bolen led all scorers with 18 points, 10 of which came in the first half as the Rangers trailed 26-24 at the break
In the second half, Benton held the Redbirds to just seven points, including three in the third quarter.
Baumgarte netted nine for the Rangers, while Peach added eight. Billington finished with five, while Keegan Glover flipped in four points and Luke Melvin tacked on three points.
