Harrisburg put 10 players in the scoring column and shutout Murphysboro in two quarters en route to a 49-9 SIRR Ohio win Thursday night at Davenport Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs (6-5, 1-0) jumped out to a 19-0 first quarter lead and outscored the Red Devils 10-0 in the fourth quarter.
Riley Harrison led all scorers with 12 points, going 7-for-8 from the free throw line and finishing with three steals and two assists.
Kameron Adams added eight points for the Bulldogs who shot 35% from the field, knocking down 14-of-30 jumpers for 46% and going 3-for-18 from beyond the arc.
Kailyn Moss scored six points, while Chelsea Davidson finished with five points. Kinzleigh Smothers netted four points, while Sidney Neal, McKenzie Boyd, Kaylee King and Laynie Kleinfelt all had three points. Frankie Leigh Nicholes rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs with two points.
Goreville 38, Gallatin County 32
Goreville rallied in the second half, outscoring Gallatin County 19-10 in the final 16 minutes to win 38-32 late last week.
The Hawks were led in scoring by Kenzie Russell's 16 points, while Carly Foster finished with 14 points. Sidney Bickett had a second quarter field goal.
Gallatin County jumped out to a 13-12 first quarter lead as Russell scored eight and Foster added five and the Hawks took a 20-19 lead into the locker room.
Goreville outscored Gallatin County 10-6 in the third quarter and held off the Hawks with a 9-6 run in the fourth quarter.
