Prep Boys Basketball: Harrisburg handles Hardin County at home

Michael Godsey and Chris Allen each dropped 19-point performances for Harrisburg in a 62-56 non-conference win over Hardin County Tuesday night inside Davenport Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs grabbed a 16-15 first quarter lead and broke the game open in the second quarter, outscoring the cougars 17-10 to lead 33-25.
Hardin County fought back, outscoring Harrisburg 35-29 in the second half, including 16-13 in the final eight minutes.
Jake Vaughn was one of four Hardin County players to score in double figures as he finished with 17 points. Ben Vaughn tacked on 13 points for the Cougars, while Smith (12) and Cullum (10) rounded out the double digit scoring.
Cameron Ande netted nine points, while Nate Lawrence added eight points, while Myles Crank finished with four points. Vaundre McIntosh tossed in two points and Ross Rider had a free throw.
Harrisburg returns to action Friday when they open up Southern Illinois River-To-River Conference Ohio Division play against West Frankfort.
Crab Orchard 57, Gallatin County 43
Noah Richardson had a game-high 28 points for Gallatin County in a 57-43 loss to Crab Orchard in Greater Egyptian Conference action Tuesday night.
Tate Duvall netted nine points, while Mattix Sandifer tacked on three points. Lane Henson tossed in two points and Lucas Jackson threw in a free throw.
Gallatin County will host Pope County Friday in GEC action.
