The Eldorado football team put a total of six players on this year's Black Diamond All-Conference Team, including two that were named to the First Team.
Senior Dylan Henshaw was one of eight skill players that were part of the First Team Offense, while junior Parker Price was named First Team Defense as a defensive back.
Henshaw led the Eagles in the ground game this past season with 645 yards on 120 carries, as he averaged 72 yards a game. His long run went for 20 yards, finishing with six touchdowns over nine games.
Price missed the first two games of the season and had 40 total tackles, finishing with 23 solo and 17 assists. The junior had one tackle for loss and one forced fumble.
EHS head coach Joe Clark complimented Henshaw and Price for putting together solid seasons.
"Dylan was a good player both sides of the ball," Clark said. Offensively, he ran the ball hard and was explosive behind a super young offensive line at times. For him to make the First Team All-Conference on offense, I'm proud of him.
"Parker missed the first two games, coming off an injury and played really well defensively. I think he's played every position now since he was a freshman and has a pretty solid reputation around the league. He's a hard nosed kid and all around athlete."
A pair of Eagles were named to the BDC Second Team Defense as sophomore Boston Bradley was recognized as a lineman and junior Josh Owens was named as a defensive back.
Bradley was second on the team in tackles, finishing with 43 over seven games. Bradley had 25 assists and 18 solo tackles, including three tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Owens was third with 40 tackles, coming up with 21 solo and 19 assists. Owens led the Eagles with four interceptions and had one fumble recovery.
Honorable Mention honors went to senior Brock Cantrell (skill) and sophomore Ashton Robinson (linebacker).
Cantrell finished his career with 385 yards on 75 carries, averaging 5.13 yards per carry and averaged 48.13 yards a game. His long run was 47 yards and had two touchdowns.
Robinson led the team in tackles with 47, as he had 16 solo and 31 assists.
Eldorado went 2-7 this past season, as the Eagles beat Edwards County 24-8 in the season finale. The other EHS win came via forfeit from Vienna-Goreville. Clark knows with four of his six all-conference selections being underclassman, the future is bright.
"We have a solid core coming back for next season to build on and we plan on doing that."
The BDC Most Valuable Player went to Johnston City's Austin Brown as the four-star safety and senior has committed to the Wisconsin football team, while Carmi-White County junior Isaac King was named Offensive Captain and Defensive Captain went to Sesser-Valier-Waltonville's Quinn Gajewski.
