Highlighted by his fifth career hole-in-one and just third in Benton golf history, Cy Norman helped lead the Rangers to a 8-match win at the St. Anthony Matchplay Invitational at Effingham Country Club Monday.
Norman aced the par 3 No. 2 hole, while he and Nick Melvin picked up two points in competition against st. Anthony, Paris, Oblong, Teutopolis and Only.
Dash Cantrell and Andrew Bell picked up two points, as did, River Stilley and Luke Melvin.
Late last week, Benton shot a 281 and won the Marion Invitational at Kokopelli Golf course.
River Stilley took home medalist honors, shooting a 32 on the front and coming in with a 31 for a 63, while Cy Norman was second overall with a 68.
Luke Melvin and Kash Cantrell each shot a pair of 75's, while Nick Melvin carded a 79.
Benton will take part in Thursday's Southern Illinois River-To-River Conference golf tournament at Hickory Ridge Golf Course.
