The Harrisburg boys' soccer team rallied from a three-goal first half deficit, scoring four goals in the second half to beat Murphysboro 5-4 on Tuesday evening at the Michael Herrin Memorial Soccer Complex.
Bulldog junior Jack Winters had the hat trick for Harrisburg, scoring three goals, while Kelsyn Fricker and Adrian Mann each had one goal.
Harrisburg got two assists from senior Talon Thurston and a single assist from Fricker and Winters.
"Words can't explain how proud I am of these young men, the amount of heart and fight they show is incredible" said Harrisburg head coach Jared Butler. "A big hats off to Sebastian Brown and Jesus Aboyte for keeping us in this game defensively."
Harrisburg was scheduled to play Massac County on Wednesday and will return to the pitch Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Salem.
