On Wednesday, Du Quoin announced that due to the rise in COVID related cases all varsity and underclass athletic and extracurricular events will be paused until Tuesday, September 7 at the earliest. That meant the canceling of freshmen, JV and varsity football games -- including Friday night's game at Harrisburg.
Harrisburg replaced its Du Quoin game with Black Diamond Conference member Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton, who was also looking for a game after Hamilton County had to pause activities due to COVID.
The game will take place Friday at Taylor Field, starting at 7 p.m.
