Benton traveled the state this past weekend and no matter the destination, the Rangers won.
On Friday, Benton won the Champaign Invitational and then turned around Saturday with a drive down south to win the Patriot Invitational, both wins came with impressive scores.
At Champaign, the Rangers shot a team total 293, beating Oak Park-River Forest (304), O'Fallon (312), Normal U-High (315) and Matton (316) in the top five.
Individually, Cy Norman took home his 24th career medalist honors after firing a 67.
Not far behind and finishing in second place was Ranger freshman River Stilley, who finished with a 71.
Kash Cantrell netted a ninth place finish after he shot a 75 Friday and Luke Melvin rounded out the Rangers' scoring, shooting an 80. Other scores from Benton included an 80 from Nick Melvin and an 89 from Keaton House.
On Saturday in Metropolis, Benton won by more than second place finisher and host Massac County by 29 strokes as the Rangers finished with a 290.
The Patriots had a 319 and other teams included, Anna-Jonesboro (320), Paducah Tilghman (342), Harrisburg (359), Vienna (389), Eldorado (393) and Herrin (417).
Norman took home medalist honors after firing a 68, while River Stilley shot a 70. Kash Cantrell and Luke Melvin each shot a pair of 76's. Nick Melvin (82) and Keaton House (82) rounded out the scoring.
Late last week, Benton participated in a triangular at Crab Orchard Golf Course in Carterville, shooting a 143 and beating Carterville (178) and Vienna (199).
River Stilley grabbed his second career medalist honors after shooting a 34.
Luke and Nick Melvin each shot a 36 for Benton, while Cy Norman carded a 37. Other Benton scores included a pair of 38's from Keaton House and Kash Cantrell.
Finally, The Benton boys' golf team stayed unbeaten shooting a 141 and beating Herrin (176), Goreville (183), Pinckneyville (185) and Vienna (198) Tuesday at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Herrin.
Benton was led by Cy Norman's 33, earning the Ranger sophomore his 23rd career medalist honors. Dash Cantrell, Luke Melvin and Nick Melvin all fired a 36 for Benton, while Keaton House (40) and Andrew Bell (44) rounded out the team scoring.
