Eagles place 11th at A-J Invitational

The Anna-Jonesboro boys' golf team took advantage of its home course to start the season late last week, firing a 337 to win the A-J Invitational at Union County Country Club.
Pinckneyville (351), Nashville (354), Steeleville (361) and Massac County (364) rounded out the top five teams.
Eldorado, who finished 11th, shot a 426 and was led by Austin Collins' 88. Cannon Weatherly carded an 89 for the Eagles, while Nic Stanford shot a 104 and Everett Bradley finished with a 145.
A-J's Luke Lashley took overall medalist honors after shooting a 71, beating out Hamilton County's Abe Neal (79) and Goreville's A.J. Johnson (79).
