Brandon Banks shut down Herrin Monday, throwing a complete-game shutout leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 win in SIRR Ohio Division action.
The senior southpaw gave up just three hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Harrisburg was stymied through four innings before breaking the game open in the fifth when Noah Boon got the scoring going with his co-team-high seventh, sending a shot over the left field fence. Later in the inning, Ben Brombaugh scored to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
The only other run for Harrisburg came in the sixth when Jackson Pittman scored on a Krayton Morse sacrifice fly to left field.
The Bulldogs had eight hits on the day as Javie Beal, Colby Morse, Andrew Bittle, Luke Miller, Krayton Morse, Boon and Brombaugh all reached safely.

Gavin Schram went 3.2 innings, allowing three hits, walking four and striking out one. Fox Connor came on in relief and allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits, while striking out one and walking two.
Harrisburg is now 23-1 overall, 8-1 in league play and will play a nonconference game at Anna-Jonesboro Tuesday. On Thursday, the Bulldogs travel to Carterville before closing out the week at home against Massac County on Friday and will host Fairfield on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
