Rangerettes win in three sets over Harrisburg

Benton outlasted Harrisburg in a three-set match, winning the last set 25-21 in SIRR Ohio play late last week.
Harrisburg opened the first set up strong, winning 25-23 and then fell behind 25-21 in the second set before losing by the same score in the third.
For the Bulldogs, Carlea Fuerback led the way with 3 aces and 5 kills and 2 blocks.  Chelsea Davidson and Brooklin Butler had 6 assists each for the match.  Lauryn Gribble, Autumn Harrawood, Kaleigh Hodge and Sidney Neal all had 2 kills for the game. 
"It was a night and day performance from Tuesday," Harrisburg head coach Heather Cox said. " We talked a lot in practice about confidence and how we could provide an opportunity for our team each play.  The girls played well, but just came up a little short."
For Benton head coach Rhonda Carlton, she said defense played a big role in the overall game.
"We kept the momentum in the last two sets in order to take the win. I'm very proud of how this team is coming together and the energy they bring to the floor. Hopefully we will continue to grow as this season progresses. "
Statistically for Benton, the top servers were Kylea Wilkerson (21/24 with 4 aces) and Emeline Kerley was 8/8. Top hitters were Ragan Carter (25/28 with 8 Kills) and Kerley (18/19 with 4 kills). Top passer was Addie Dungy (25/27) and Cailyn Fowlkes (6/6). Defensive player of the game was Dungy at a 78% passing . The top Setters was Lili Wilkerson (28/30 with 6 assists) and Kylea Wilkerson (46/47 with 4 assists). The top Blocker was Addie Clayton with 4 stuff blocks.
