The Eagles finished with four players in double figures in a 68-55 loss at Massac County Saturday night.
Bryant Byrd had a team-high 18 points, including 11 in the second quarter for the Eagles, while Parker Price scored 16 points. Will Bethel tossed in 11 points and Aiden Whitlock had 10 for the Eagles.
Isaac Hosman had a game-high 23 points for Massac County, while J.J. Sweatt contributed with 19 points and Kyle McIntosh had 11 points to finish in double figures.
The Patriots got six points from Brady Gawell and Will Harmon. Ian Higgerson tacked on three points.
Massac County jumped out to a 14-8 first quarter lead and led 34-26 at the break. The Patriots outscored EHS 15-13 in the third to take a 10-point 49-39 lead going into the game's final eight minutes.
The Eldorado junior varsity team earned a 48-41 win over Massac County Saturday night.
Josh Owens led the Eagles with 21 points, while Isaac Barrett tacked on 12 points and Gage Heath tossed in 10 points. Dylan Henshaw finished with three points and Jonah Burham had two points.
Eldorado 48, Hamilton 46 Overtime
Eldorado stormed back in the fourth quarter after trailing 32-26 and outscored Hamilton County 13-7 in the final eight minutes to force overtime and earn a 48-46 Black Diamond Conference win over Hamilton County.
In OT, Aiden Whitlock had six of Eldorado's nine points as the senior finished with a game-high 18 points.
Bryant Byrd also had 12 points for EHS to finish in double figures, while Parker Price and Will Bethel both finished with five points. Boston Bradley and Gage Heath each tacked on three points a piece and Nolan Henson tossed in two points.
The EHS boys were scheduled to play at Carmi-White County on Tuesday and then will have back-to-back home games, hosting Edwards County on Friday and Gallatin County on Saturday.
