The Du Quoin Lady Indians brought home the victory Thursday evening against their archrival Pinckneyville Panthers inside Anders Gymnasium.
It was a tough game, worthy of the rivalry, but in the end Du Quoin prevailed, 40-34.
Lady Indian Lauren Heape led all scorers with 12 points. Lily Tanner led the Panthers with 11 points. After the game Du Quoin climbed to a 2-1 record overall. Pinckneyville went to 1-1.
