Alumni Corner: Davis shines for SEMO in season opener

Karsyn Davis (Harrisburg) -- SEMO
Davis finished 2-for-3, cranking an RBI double down the left field line in the sixth inning to tie Auburn at 1. The Tigers would later to go on to win 5-1 in Game 2. Davis also showcased her skills behind the dish, with a strike 'em out-throw 'em out as Davis gunned down a would-be base stealer in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Hannah Nalley (Marion) -- Loyola
Nalley is 2-for-6 in four games this season for Loyola. The Marion native has scored four runs and has one RBI with a .500 on-base percentage, while slugging .333.
Loyola is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee Friday.

Mia McClain (Benton) -- North Florida
McClain was 15th overall for North Florida University at the Charleston Southern Invitational, located in Charleston South Carolina. McLain turned in a time of 18.54.3, running a 6:04.7 mile. NFU finished second in the four-team event in late January.
On February 5, at the Florida State Winter XC Classic, McLain was 25th overall with a time of 22:47 in the Gold Women's 600 meter race. North Florida finished second in the event, which was won by Colorado.

Madi McLain (Benton) -- Loyola
This past weekend at the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan, McClain had a couple of finishes, taking 35th in the 60 meters with a time of 8.62 and was 26th in the 200 meters with a time of 27.63.
McLain returns to action Friday at the GVSU Tune-Up before the MVC Indoor Championships, being held in Cedar Falls, Iowa Feb. 26-28.

Danyelle Eilers (Trico) -- SIU
Eilers appeared as a pinch runner in SIU softball's 3-1 and 2-0 victories over Murray State Saturday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The junior from Trico High School stole a base in the Game 2 win over the Racers.

Tori Schullian (Herrin) -- SIU
Schullian went 1-for-1 as a pinch hitter in SIU softball's 2-0 win over Murray State Saturday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. On Sunday, the Herrin native and Saluki sophomore exploded, going 3-for-4 at the dish with a pair of RBI and a run scored. Schullian had two doubles on the day, scoring Aubree DePron in the second inning and then doubling to left center in the sixth inning. Schullian capped off her day with a single to center field, scoring Katelyn Massa.

Leaha Wininger (Johnston City) -- SEMO
Wininger went 0-for-1 with a strikeout in SEMO's 8-0 Game 1 loss to Auburn Saturday in Auburn, Alabama. She filled in as a pinch runner in Sunday's 3-1 loss, while being left on base two times. SEMO is scheduled to play in a doubleheader at the University of Tennessee Saturday.
